Married, with four children.

Former Dean, College of Islamic Studies, Mishkah University.

Member, Permanent Fatwa Committee, Assembly of Muslim Jurists in America.

Fellow, American Academy of Pediatrics.

PhD in Comparative Fiqh, al-Jinan University, Tripoli, Lebanon.

MA in Islamic Law, American Open University.

Studied the Islamic sciences under numerous teachers and received traditional ijāzāt in Qurʾān, ḥadīth, fiqh, and related disciplines.

Board certified in Pediatrics, American Board of Pediatrics.

Board certified in Pediatric Hospital Medicine, American Board of Pediatrics.
